2/18/15 BLIZZARD BAG #1: Go to this website: https://sites.google.com/a/sau9.org/advanced-physics/physics-blizzard-bag-1
Read the four articles about NASA. On a piece of paper, provide answers to the NASA reading questions listed under "Answer these questions after reading-click Here." You will hand the questions in when the Blizzard Bag is due, which is two weeks from today.
2/20/15 BLIZZARD BAG #3: Question: How can I make my own snow shoes? Purpose: To build a set of snow shoes using materials you have at home that allow you to easily walk around on the snow. (Raid that recycling bin!) Data: Take a picture of yourself on your snow shoes. Print it to hand in, or email it me at school [email protected]. Design: Draw the design of your snow shoes and discuss the design elements that went into them. What is it about the snow shoes that allows them to support your weight? Conclusion: Discuss the difference between force and pressure and how these two terms apply to the design of your snow shoes. You will have two weeks from today to complete this however I highly recommend you get your snow shoes built and tested before the snow is gone.
